It's nearly been a week that Kaisha had introduced a stranger as her boyfriend to the person who would've ended up being her husband if the circumstances wasn't in her favour that day.

Every time she tried to think about something important all she could remember was about that particular night, specifically that stranger's choking face who after recovering from it gave her 'Madam-did-you-just-ran-out-of-mental-asylum?' look and the waiter with whom she'd made a deal who tend to overhear their conversation staring at her, making her want to shift on mars or moon or any other planets in solar system even meteoroids who work but Earth.

At present she was standing outside the ice-cream parlor near her apartment and was trying to take the most difficult decision. Whether she should go in or not and if yes then which flavour, she should have today. After exactly ten minutes she came to conclusion that she'll have strawberry flavour.

As she placed her order, she sat down on one of the tables and that's when her eyes fell on the familiar face, she narrowed her eyes and tried to zoom on that face to confirm that; one she saw was familiar to her.

She digs in her sling bag and searches for her phone. After finding it she dialed the same person's number and for her surprise that person looked at phone and put it on silent much to her annoyance. She could feel her blood boiling.

She slammed her phone on the table instead of her hand and after realising it she quickly checked for any scratches on it with a racing heartbeat after all it had her many secrets which she can't afford to lose.

After making sure her phone was safe relief washed through her veins and she left a heavy sigh while turning to look at the person she was earlier glaring at. Without wasting another second, she marched towards that person and crossed her arms gaining both the people's attention. As her eyes met with that person's she raised her right eyebrow throwing a 'care-to-explain?' look on the person's way which made that person to gulp nervously. Because the person was none other than her best friend, Mihika Agarwal.

" Kay, I can explain. " Mihika quickly said in her defence as she stood up.

" I was just -- " She started with her explanation only to be cut off.

" You were just neglecting my phone calls. Yeah! Anything else? " Kaisha spoke.

" Kay -- " She sounded guilty and sighed as she didn't know what to say and what not to.

" First, you are in Mumbai and you didn't feel like telling me about it. Second, you are enjoying that ice-cream, that too without me. Third, you are sitting here with this person and neglecting my calls. And you-- " She spoke as calmly as she could but Mihika knew deep down, she was angry at her which was relevant because if it was her in the place of her she would have reacted the same way. Maybe more than that being a violent person. "You?" Her face dropped looking at the person who was gracefully sitting on the chair looking at the interaction between the two.

" You both know each other? " Mihika asked looking at their reactions.

How the hill can I forget that day?

" Hii. " She slowly greeted him and flashed him an awkward smile at him.

Run bleach run.

You don't want to end up being embarrassed again. Do you?

" Bye! " She turned on her heel to walk from where she had come from.

" Kay. Where are you going? " Mihika held her hand in attempt to stop her.

" Ice-cream. My order arrived. " She points towards the counter where luckily her token number was displayed at that instance.

" Bring your order here or else we are coming to your table. " Mihika said as she lets go her hand.

" Fine. Boss. " She muttered as she made her way towards her table first to collect her things and then made her way towards the counter to collect her ice-cream.

" So, you and Paras were on blind date. " Mihika spoke as Kaisha sat down on one of the chairs adjacent to them as Paras filled in Mihika during her absence.

" But, how do you know each other? " Kaisha asked as she scoops her ice-cream and then looked up at them curiously.

" She-- the girlfriend I told you about. " Paras said as he pulled Mihika towards him by her shoulder and flashed her the brightest smile possible making Mihika to look at him with wide eyes.

" You bleach. " Kaisha dropped her spoon after hearing his words and stared Mihika with accusing eyes.

" Bleach? " Paras frowned hearing her and glanced between them confusedly.

" She meant bitch. " Mihika fills in.

" Am I just a name's sake best friend for you? Why didn't you tell me about it? " She demanded an answer as she stared her best friend shooting bullets at her.

" Since how long it's going on? " She turned towards Paras and asked seeing Mihika all quiet.

" A year. " He informed making her snap her head towards her again.

" A year! Does tik-tik know about it? " She asked looking straight into her eyes to which she slowly nodded, positively making her fume in anger.

" It's been a year you are lying to ME. The friend whom you also consider as your sister. I feel so betrayed right now. You seem to be tik-tik's friend more than mine. You know what, give these bands to him or else burn them. I am not taking it back. " She lets out and then shuffles through her sling bag to remove the friendship bands she had been carrying it with her all the time. The ones Mihika sends her during every friendship day through courier. She pushes those towards her making her want to cry looking at them because every single band she gave her till now was present in them.

" In that case even you didn't tell her about your boyfriend, I guess? " Paras interrupted them looking at Mihika's face who was all about bawl her eyes.

This bleach had to talk?

" You eat your ice-cream. It's a serious matter between me and my best friend. You are not allowed to interrupt. Understood? " She said through gritted teeth and ends up pointing at his ice-cream.

" Her boyfriend? What do you mean by her boyfriend? " Mihika asked catching onto his words and turned to look at him and then faces Kaisha.

" Who boyfriend? I don't know what he's talking about. " She shrugs off and scoops her ice-cream. Not wanting to lead on the topic that was about to fly off where she was fried off.

" You better stop lying. " Now it was Mihika who raised her voice a little from timid one.

Just look at the tables flip. She cried.

" He was just a STRANGER who ended up becoming my boyfriend just for few minutes that night. " She confessed and banged her head on table feeling embarrassed as the flashes were still fresh at the back of her mind.

" But it didn't look like he was just a stranger to you. " He added on as he tried to recollect that night.

" Did I tell you to open your mouth except for eating your ice-cream? " She looked up at him frustratedly still murdering herself in mind.

" As far as I remember he did address you baby, ' baby, it's urgent I need to leave.' " He tried to mimicked his voice and quoted the words with his fingers in air.

She buried her face in between her palms so that other two wouldn't see the blood that rushed through her face making it red and hot due to embarrassment as a flash of that stranger winking at her exact after saying those words flashed behind her eyes. Which she hadn't expected at all.

" Mihi tell him to stop talking about that night or else it won't take me a second to puke. " She cried looking at Mihika. Helpless.

" Was he handsome? " Mihika asked looking at her to which she just stared at her angrily.

" Alright. " Mihika raised up her hands surrendering watching Kaisha's murderous glare.

" So when are you planning to marry? Hold on. Why were you on blind date with me in first place? No. First tell me how did you both met? As far as I know Paras lives here in Mumbai and Mihi in Jaipur. " Kaisha threw string of questions on them not letting them a chance to tease her.

" We got to know each other through Instagram. " Paras informed and turned to look at Mihika. Seeing him so whipped for her Kaisha was satisfied that her best friend had made a good decision.

" You remember, I told you about having a tini-mini crush on one of our seniors in High School. " Mihika spoke and ended up being little shy making Kaisha chuckle looking at her reaction while Paras frowned at her words.

" Yup. But you didn't tell me his name. " After remembering the said incident, she spoke.

" He's that same senior. " She blushed and Paras looked at her with wide eyes because this was something he was unaware about till now.

" You gotta kidding me? " Paras sounded surprise? Excited? Kaisha couldn't put the finger on his reaction. While Mihika just smiled at him.

"What in the k-drama?" Kaisha looked at them in awe as she placed her face between her palm as she leaned in to keep her elbows on table.

" It's true and when he proposed me, I ended up telling Kartik about it since you weren't there. " Mihika ended sadly while Paras looked like he was on top of moon after the new found information.

" But you could've called me. " Kaisha narrowed her eyes at Mihika.

" I did call you but I couldn't say anything. That's why I'd told you to not move out and stay back there. " Mihika ends up pouting making Kaisha shift in her seat.

It's too complicated back there. At least I'm somewhat happy here.

" Did you all tell your parents about this? " She quickly asked trying to distract her thoughts.

" I did. But they aren't happy about it. That is why we are waiting to inform his parents. " Mihika said sadly and sighed.

" Why? " Kaisha frowned upon hearing it.

" Cast. " Mihika muttered bitterly.

" Flush those traditions! " Kaisha exclaimed frustratedly. To which Mihika and Paras just sighed, helplessly.

" I can't believe they are still stuck there. Aunty too?" She asked as she scoops her ice-cream in order to cool down herself. She gestured them to eat theirs also since eating liquid ice-cream isn't good at all.

" She did try to talk to Papa but he's to adamant. " Mihika filled in as she scoops her ice-cream.

" Fine. Let me talk to him." After giving it a thought Kaisha said.

" Are you sure? " Mihika asked hopefully and Paras mirrored her.

" More than sure. " She spoke determined. After all she wanted her best friend to be happy and have all the happiness in the world and if she could shower at least little of it then why not?

Trio was at Kaisha's apartment sitting on the couch. Kaisha and Paras were watching Mihika taking deep breaths as she fiddled with her phone. Kaisha sighed heavily and pressed her palm on Mihika's shoulder.

" Mihi. Everything will be fine. Trust me. Just go on. " She gestured her to call her parents.

Mihika hesitantly nodded and walked towards dining table to set her phone as she video called her mother and sat in front of it. Paras went and sat on adjacent chair to hers and made sure he wasn't visible to Mihika's parents. Kaisha too walked and sat on the other adjacent chair to Mihika's and told both of them to trust her. Assuring them that everything will be alright. They both flashed her timid smile and nodded.

They turned to see the phone after hearing Mihika's mother's voice. They had a small chat as Mihika's parents had not meet Kaisha since years now, they were really happy to see her and also because best friends finally reunited after years. Mihika's father complained to Kaisha saying she should at least visit them once in a month to which she just smiled and thought.

Will he still want me to visit them once he gets to know the real agenda of cal-- video calling him?

After chatting for long there was a sudden pause from both the sides and Kaisha glanced both of them and blinked in assurance as she was about to start talking about them. Paras quickly removed his hand from Mihika's thigh and weaved his fingers with hers, gently making patterns on the back of her hand for her to calm down. Looking at the love birds Kaisha smiled and prepared herself to start her talk. She inhaled deeply before she started talking.

" Uncle, I know I am not too aged for this matter but I really need to talk to you about it. Because it's something related to my best friend. At a point you might feel I am being rude to you but as you know when it comes to one's happiness and specially the one's I love, I can cross any limits." She said in one breathe making Mihika's father confused but her mother did get some idea about what Kaisha wanted to say and only flashed her encouraging smile because she felt at least she would make her husband understand with her knowledge being psychiatrist.

Looking at his confused expressions she gestured Paras to come in the picture. He leaned towards the phone and slowly greeted both of them. Mihika's mother flashed him a small smile which later turned into helpless as her husband got furious looking at him. He glanced at Kaisha and glared the other two before he stood up not wanting to hear a word more as he got an idea of what Kaisha wanted to say.

" Uncle, please hear me out once. And even after that if you feel you're right then she would do as you say and I won't say anything. " Kaisha said confidently as she squeezed Mihika's hand and gestured her to breathe which was caught in middle hearing her words.

" Say what you've to. Beta. " Mihika's father thought for a second as he nodded positively sitting down back in his previous place. Kaisha smiled hearing him still addressing her as beta even after knowing she might offend him with her words.

" Uncle as I said I can do anything for the one's I love and you know how close Mihi is to me and I can't see her crying for the happiness she deserves." She stated making Mihika suppress her sobs hearing her and other two smile at their bond while Mihika's father was sitting still as a stone. Unaffected.

Suga really got a tough competition here.

Kay! FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS.

" Uncle as far as I know from Mihi's childhood till now you have given her each and everything. Is there something that she'd asked for and you couldn't give her? " Shaking her head at her thoughts she questioned him making the old man speak quickly without thinking for other second.

" There isn't anything that I didn't gave. I did give her everything she asked for that's why I ended up asking her to do one, only one favour to me " He quickly added while Mihika's mother sighed and shook her head unbelievably.

" No uncle you didn't. You didn't agree to her regarding Paras. You denied giving her, him. The one she loves besides you both. "

Hearing her there was little fluctuation in his expressions so does Mihika's mother's. But he was quick enough to cover his expressions and opened his mouth to say something. Not letting him speak she quickly spoke further.

" Uncle, let's assume that she obeys your decision and gets married to a person you have chosen for her. After some years she might even forget Paras also. But one thing she'll never forget. That is her father didn't give her, her love. The things which you have been giving her from childhood would never fill that void which will be created by this one statement of yours. "

" And thinking about the society in which we live is not that important than your daughter's happiness, right uncle? " She further added striking the right chords.

Hearing her Mihika's mother smiled as she was stating facts and her husband was speechless for the first time during this topic. He got lost deep into his thoughts. While they waited for him to speak. He suddenly started smiling thinking about something making everyone else's heartbeat uneven. Around thirty minutes passed but there was no response from his side while others impatiently waited. Mihika was already a mess while Paras was trying to calm himself and her down. Kaisha was continuously praying that his response turns out to be positive crossing her fingers. Mihika's mother sighed deeply wondering which land her husband was lost in and was about to ask him but stopped herself when she saw Kaisha nodding negativity through screen.

" Beta, you said you would do anything for Mihika's happiness -- " He questioned while she furious nodded positively unable to speak fearing his answer.

" Then, what would you have done if I hadn't agreed with you? " He again questioned trying his best to hold on to his smile.

" I would have -- Wait uncle what did you just say? " Kaisha bolted up so hard that the chair on which she was sitting fell back making Mihika clutch her heart tight with the sudden impact along with Kaisha's ear bleeding screech.

" You heard it right! " He said and flashed her the brightest smile not able to hold more. Other three were so confused that they didn't realize what was happening and were flashing confused looks.

" Really, uncle? " Kaisha started jumping clapping her hands as if she won the cutest teddy bear in a shooting game at fair. Okay! All the soft toys are cute af!

She turned and pulled Mihika in her embrace hugging her tight. Mihika was so confused that she stood still and didn't reciprocate. While Paras was trying to decode, whatever he was thinking was right and on other hand Mihika's mother realising it, couldn't help as happy tears pooled in her eyes.

" I am ready for this alliance. Princess." Mihika's father said as she still was confused as to why Kaisha jumped on her.

" Really, Papa? You don't have any problems with it?" She asked unsure.

" I don't have any as long as my little princess is happy. " He said smiling. And she couldn't help but tear up as he addressed her as his little princess which she hadn't heard for two to three months now because she loved Paras. She then thought she had done a mistake loving him as everything was falling apart but now. Now everything seems right. Her love seems right.

" Thank you so much Papa. " She cried clasping her hands while Paras was still processing the information and trying to analyse whether it was just another happy dream or reality.

" I don't have sweets right now but this is sweet and good for health as well." Kaisha screamed happily as she came running from the kitchen with the pieces of jaggery in a plate.

" Congratulations soon to be groom and bride. " She shoved a piece of jaggery in Paras's mouth followed by Mihika's. While Mihika's parents laughed from other end as they dropped the call.

" You better treat her well or else I won't think once before breaking your bones. Understood? " As soon as the call was dropped Kaisha threatened Paras. While he surrendered his hands up in air and faked, fear playing along.

" I promise that day would never come. " He said pulling Mihika in his embrace and pecking her nose.

" Behave. You shouldn't be doing such lovey-dovey stuff in front of a kid. Don't you know that? " Kaisha palmed her eyes and said too innocently.

" The kid who read -- " Mihika was brutally interrupted.

" Okay bye! " Kaisha literally screamed with wide eyes and scurried away to her bedroom.

" I don't have holy water so be decent in my apartment. Please! " She screamed before she shuts the door of her room. Proud of herself as she quickly came up with a comeback. And leaving two souls reddening as blood rushed through their bodies burning them hot.
