Wake up Kay, wake up! You won't be waving an Army Bomb and screeching along with other Army in BTS concert until and unless it's a dream. Her mind screamed but her inner conscience was busy gushing over them performing looking ever so cute and hot at the same instance. And the next second, she knew she touched Jk's hand while he had just waved his arm to touch the Army those were standing in the front line.
Will you please, shut up! At least it is way better than an actual crush. She reasoned almost glaring her stupid inner voice which kept on reminding her to open her eyes and come back to reality but all she did was pulled up the covers until it meets her chin. Dreamily sighing in satisfaction.
Expectations from a crush, hurts but my Ot7 won't ever do that. They love me. She murmured smiling dreamily and fixed her vision on the stage where they started performing on ' Black Swan '
They love their army and not you, personally. Her inner self mocked her.
I don't know who you ar--
She couldn't even complete her sentence because a deep voice interrupted her it was none other than V's then followed by Jk's vocals. She tilted her head to look at him while other members too turned towards his direction because of the sudden change even Army were confusedly watching them while he was peacefully singing. Later on, they heard Jimin singing following him making remaining of them confuse but then RM continued rapping the lyrics of 'Life goes on' followed by V's voice again that's when she realized whole thing.
She opened her eyes and sighed heavily as she sat on her bed properly and glared hard at her phone for interrupting her sleep as well as her beautiful dream which was placed on the nightstand. Her hard glare turned to soft one as music kept on blasting off from its speakers until the person on the other side decided to drop the call making her stop bobbing her head and pout sadly as music stopped.
Yup! She is the biggest K-pop fangirl specifically BTS and also a sucker for 90s Bollywood songs.
She glanced at the clock and groaned after all it was just five thirty in the morning and being a sleepy head that wasn't appreciated by her at all. She picked up her phone, glancing at the screen she threw few punches in the air imagining the person who had called her few seconds ago.
She dialed back the same number and waited for the person to attend her call but it directly went in voicemail. And next second a message popped up making her want to drive a truck on that person.
Good Morning, twine. I hope you had bad dreams.
WHY DO YOU ALWAYS DO THAT, TIK-TIK?
Because I don't love you, chotu Panda.
Ouch! My hearteu. That hurts, big Panda. Places my hand on my poor little heart.
She could literally feel him rolling his eyes at her drama and she always loves to get on his nerves after all that's what siblings do and being twins that too , five minutes younger one always helped her from the aftermath.
Will you justify for ruining my dear sleep ?
Actually.
Is everything fine ?
Everything's alright.
The thing is.
Again a blind date ?
Yes.
Okay.
Tell me his name , address of the venue and time. I'll be there.
I hope it doesn't end up like last ones?
Hope so.
Then, hoping for the best.
Remember this
you don't have to be
Bhai, your every word is perfectly glued in my brain.
Just chill I'll be fine. Everything will be fine.
And thank you very much for ruining my sleep.
Now.
Bye!
Good night.
Don't tell me you're going to bed, again.
Yes. I am. What do you expect me to do this early that to on a Sunday morning?
BYE!
Fine. Good night to you and Good Morning to me.
She laughed and dropped herself on the bed imaging her brother, Kartik's face behind the phone. Though they are twins they were pole apart which meant they don't end up agreeing with each other whosoever matter it is until and unless they want too. Closing her eyes, she tried to sleep and after lot of tossing she finally fell asleep.

" Fish, it's already seven-eight pm. At least today, I need to be on time. " She muttered to herself clueless about how she ended up sleeping in the assumption of a small nap as she grabs her bathrobe and then runs towards the bathroom.
After freshening up, she quickly shuffled through her wardrobe and pulled out a high-neck, full sleeves dark blue top and light blue shade jeans. After dressing up she tied her hair up in a pony tail while few strands shamelessly fell on her face, making her groan. Falling short of time, she lets them fly on her face followed by her regular light make up with diamond studs in her ears. Tying her wrist watch on left hand and clipping her silver bracelet on her right wrist she looked herself in the mirror and smiled brightly.
" This is me. If he wants to reject me based on my looks then, well, that will be his loss and my gain; at least I won't be getting trapped with such a ship-headed person. By the way you look gorgeous, Kay! " She blew a kiss towards the mirror and winked. She then clutches her sling bag, before moving out of her room and then apartment.

Just hoping, it doesn't end well. I don't want to get married so soon. She crossed her fingers in the air and muttered before jumping out of her car.
I'm five minutes younger to tik-tik and that's so unfair on me that I'll have to fall in this trap first before him. She whined thinking about it.
Please. Bhagwan jii. Please! End up fixing big panda's marriage first then think about me. Okay? I know I'm a very good child of yours and by making sure he's settled down and thinking about myself later I am being the best sister one could ever have. That would work, I guess? Yeah, it's going to wo--
Ship!
" I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm extremely sorry. " She furiously murmured as waiter tried to balance himself but somehow ended up dropping one of the bowls making her crouch down quickly as she started helping him to clear the mess she had just created because first; she was too kind for anyone's good, second; she was walking blindly and third; she was clumsy enough, that sums up all. I guess!
" Ma'am it's okay. You don't have to do this. " The waiter said but she was busy apologizing and helping him that his words fell on deaf ears making him sigh.
" Can you tell me who's take it was? " After helping him with the tray they both stood straight and questioned him as she started cleaning the spilled gravy on her left thigh.
" Sir, sitting on the table number six. " He pointed towards a man sitting on the table which was three tables behind her. She spun her head to look at the person who was looking at them from few seconds back and was now frowning as waiter pointed towards him, while person sitting opposite him, a lady to be precise was talking loudly. No scratch that, she was literally screaming; gaining some weird looks from neighbour tables.
" Serve him his order but please bring his bill to me. I'll pay for it. Because of me they'll have to wait more and waiting for food really sucks. And it's even worse when your stomach keeps on secreting HCL and there's nothing in there for it to breakdown. " She blabbered as she cleaned the dots of gravy from her jeans and crumbled the tissue and then looked around for dustbin when her eyes fell on the tray in waiter's hand who gestured her to keep it in it. She flashed him sheepish smile and kept it in.
" Wait a minute. " She muttered as something strikes her. She then pulled out a pen from her bag and took one of the tissues as she started scribbling something on it.
' I am extremely sorry, sir, ma'am. I know it sucks when you've to wait for your food and today because of me your order got delayed. So please don't be mad on him for the delay and enjoy it. And as a compensation for that, it's my treat.
PS: I'm not trying to showing off that I can afford y'all a meal or more. It's just for my satisfaction that y'all accepted my apology. And ma'am, if possible, please lower your voice.'
" Do give them this note and after reading this if they say that they'll pay for themselves then just nod your head and bring their receipt to me, I'll be here somewhere only. Okay? " She folded the note for two times into a square and handed him it.
" Okay, Ma'am. " He gave her a weird look first trying to understand what she meant, in daze he slowly nodded positively as he walked away.
I did hope that everything doesn't end up well but I didn't mean this evening shouldn't go well. She threw accusing looks up at celling as she waited for receptionist to tell her which table was booked under her name.
" Ma'am it's table no: 08 that's reserved under your name. " She pointed towards the table near the window. And continued. " I hope you enjoy our service. Have a great evening ma'am. "
" Thank you. " She smiled giving her a small nod and made her way towards the said table.
" Who the hell are you to tell me to lower my voice? " A lady screamed making her stop in her track and stare her confusedly as that lady walked towards her. She thought maybe that lady was screaming at the person behind her since she didn't know who she was, so she tilted her head to look behind but she found no one but by now all the eyes were fixed on her making her little uncomfortable.
" Tell me." The lady stood in front of her crossing her arms across her stomach.
" Tell you, what? " She tried to think of a face similar to the lady standing in front of her but failed to recollect if she knew that overloaded; powdered face.
" You bi -- " The lady raised her index finger pointing towards her only to be interrupted by a palm on her mouth as the person struggled to pull that lady out of the restaurant. After looking at the person's face she got what actually that lady was yelling about making her sigh and walk towards her table; glaring straight as some gazes were still on her making her want to punch all of those.
Did I went overboard?
No I didn't. I only mentioned it so that she could avoid the stares that were thrown her way. Guess she liked it. Which made her to gain more eyes on her after trying to pull up an unreasonable fight with me.
But still I think you shouldn't have mentioned it. I know.
She shrugged off and occupied the chair at her table, she pulled out her phone from her pockets. As soon as she did a message popped up making her smile.
Did you reach?
Yes, few minutes ago.
She responded and switched her chats to her best friend's chat which, her friend still didn't acknowledge making her mutter a small " Strange." She then again switched the chats to her brother's.
You are responding to my text, which means you are actually alive.
BHAI!!!
She whined. Which he could literally feel behind the screen making him grin brightly.
Alright! My not-so-socially-active-panda.
Nervous?
Don't ask.
Take a deep breath and relax my child.
As you say Guru dev.
" Hii! " A deep voice spoke suddenly. Making her clutch her phone tight and instinctively scream a bit.
" You scared the ship out of me, Man! " She placed a hand on her heart which was now beating rapidly and looked at the person with her widened eyes.
" I'm sorry. But I didn't mean to. And not even that. " He muttered slowly. As he passed a hand through his hair.
" I know. " She nodded slowly as she sighed in relief. People who were around and looking at her again went back to their business. While the man still stood near her table not sure if he should sit down or just stand and say his words.
" Actually -- you -- treated me with a meal, so -- I thought, I -- can at least treat you with an ice-cream or juice maybe? " He said nervously as he was unsure about her reaction.
" I am fine. " She gave him a small smile making him sigh in relief that she hadn't mistook his small offer.
" Are you waiting for someone? " He asked after few seconds. Making her stare him. He thought he just went overboard and was about to apologize but before that she interrupted him.
" A blind date. " What he didn't knew was she was studying his features closely and just got lost that suddenly she became aware of his words and blurted out in trance.
" Oh! Well, I think, I should leave then. Maybe we'll meet some other day. " He ended with a small smile and was about to turn when she held his wrist surprising both of them.
" No! You can't leave me alone here. " She said being in little daze while his eyes travelled from her hold on his wrist to her face.
" Let me rephrase it. I meant you should sit for first few minutes. " She left his hand and patted the space besides her on the joined chair making him look at her confused but she continued. " Because I want to see how will that person react to, me sitting with a guy friend. Most of the time my brother would accompany me for first few minutes and then leave. For time being we can even have little bit of juice. What say?"
" Are you sure? " He asked little amused by her.
" That means it's okay with you? " He confusedly nodded positively while she clapped her hands as she flashed him one of her brightest smiles making his lips curl up automatically as he took a sit opposite her. They talked for following few minutes as they ordered juice for themselves. And she got to know that the lady is his girlfriend.
" This might be too personal. If you don't want to answer, just say you don't want to. Okay? " She said while he slowly nods at her.
" Nisha is your girlfriend. But you didn't seem to be her boyfriend. I mean, I just saw how you were not interested in whatever she was saying while she was trying her best to gain your attention which made her more pissed off since you were actually looking at me and that forced her to pull off that stunt. " She slowly said while he stared her with wide eyes because whatever she said was true. She waited for him to say something for first few minutes. Not knowing what to say he just stared her lost in his thoughts.
" Communication is a key in any relationship so speak out to her what you feel and let her speak too, instead of just ignoring her. Will you? " She asked slowly while he simply nodded flashing her a small smile of assurance.
Same applies to you as well. Her inner conscience reminded making her fully ignore it.
" And before you ask how I got your point. " She gestured him to lean in. " I can read one's mind. " She whispered each word with dangerous tone making him pretend to flinch under her voice and a minute later both busted out laughing.
" Honestly, this was the only reason why I wanted you to sit here. And I know, now you would want to talk to her and sort everything out. So just go-- " She insisted but was interrupted by deep voice mixed with heavy breathing.
" Bhai! Why the fuck do you even own a phone? I had to literally track you since you weren't responding to any of our calls. Mom has been crying thinking of worst possibilities. Even Nisha is blaming herself for her impulsive reaction. Will you just return their calls and calm them down? Nah, best option would be just get back home. Please. " A man out of nowhere came ranting towards their way and continued it as he sat in the space where the other man was sitting on the opposite chair of her. As he finished his words, he quickly picked up the glass full of juice and chugged down in one go. And then eyed other glass while she stared him.
" I'm taking it. Miss. " Ignoring her stare he quickly caught hold of her glass and chugged down in one go. Making her look at him with wide eyes while the man sitting next to him sigh, shaking his head in disbelief.
" Manners, Ani! " The man exclaimed, smacking the back of his brother's head who in return was about to roll his eyes but stopped himself for some reason and turned towards her.
" I was thirsty so I couldn't hold back. " He slowly said and turned towards his brother. " And it's all your fault, Bhai! If you had responded to any of our calls I wouldn't have been rushing here. In process dehydrating myself. " He accused him while she looked them curiously.
" You actually cleared my mind out so as a thanks I'll leave my brother here for your help. " The man said completely ignoring his brother's baseless accuse who widened his eyes which she mirrored.
" No. Please. No. He might end up stealing my food too and say I was hungry. Just like he did to my juice. And, as I said I just wanted to talk to you. I don't need any help. And if anything happens, I'll manage. But please take him with you. " She desperately lets out looking at the man who stood up. While his brother first nodded and after realizing she was speaking against him, he turned to look her amused with her reasoning.
" He won't. If he does just grab a pan from somewhere as your weapon. He'll stop. " He told her seriously but his face screamed mischief.
" NOT THE PAN. BHAI! " They both whined making their faces crumble in like? Disgust? Maybe. While he looked both of them amused. Specially her since he was just teasing his not so little brother but what made her cringe was a kind of mystery to him and also her addressing him 'Bhai' was something he didn't expect but not to make her feel awkward he just kept that part aside.
" Fine. " He chuckled and passed her his business card. " If he does anything just call me. " She took the card and read his name which till now she didn't know. Abhinav Kaushal.
" And you behave. Don't annoy her like you usually do. She has helped me a lot. Get it? " He turned towards his brother and said sternly making him nod slowly.
" As if I am scared of your threat. " He looked in opposite directions to show him that he didn't care at all about his words but deep down he did. His brother smiled to himself and then, gave a small smile to her as he started walking away.
He is leaving. Just like that.
Why didn't he take his little piece along with him?
And he stayed back. Why?
Just to ANNOY me.
Just like that annoying scamp!
But he didn't annoy me as such.
She kept staring his face as she took in his features and tried to look for his intentions while he mirrored her.
Good genes flow through the line, I guess.
Is she really nice? Or is she just pretending like other girls who behave all holy but aren't.
I mean who traps rich guys because my brother is one of them.
But she did call him Bhai!
But Bhai and Yaar are common words, that are used to emphasize.
" Exactly, what help you want? " He questioned as he saw his brother walking out of the front door.
" I really don't know? " She looked down at the black screen of her phone while he narrowed his eyes on her as he made himself comfortable on his sit waiting for her to continue.
" Actually, I tend to see the little interaction between your brother and his girlfriend. Which didn't look healthy in some parts. I just wanted to let your brother know it. But being a complete stranger and not a very fangirl of socialism I shoved away the thought. Later on, due to a situation your brother himself came to speak to me and I genuinely wanted to share my thought regarding their relationship, so I just made up a lie saying I need his help. " She lets out, looking up at him.
" How did you help him? " Out of curiosity he asked her after few minutes of debating with his mind whether to ask or not.
" It wasn't even a big deal like your brother said. It was just a general suggestion. Actually, your brother and his girlfriend had some problems. I exactly don't know what kind of. So, I just told him to talk all of it out. " He just hummed and gave her a small nod, again boring his eyes on his phone.
" What lie did you made up? " He looked up at her again after few seconds.
" I am on blind date and asked your brother to sit with me for a while as in I can talk to him and also will get out a reaction from Paras. Which usually my brother would do. He would sit with me being my boy-friend which he is. And sometimes typical minded would piss off.... " She trailed off.
" I told him to sit here as a friend since I want to know how will the person who is supposed to be my blind date would react. " She added on.
" So now I'm that friend? "Though he wasn't satisfied with her answer he pretended to go along and not drag. She slowly nodded sighing in relief as he bought her blabbering and didn't ask anything further.
" I don't know where Paras is and at what time he'll be here; if you got some work, you can leave because I don't want you to waste your precious time. " She spoke up looking at her watch. The blind date was fixed at seven thirty pm and it was already past eight now.
I was waiting for that last line so desperately. Thank you so much! He thought.
" It's fine." But on second thought he felt like waiting back just in case. " I can -- " Interrupting him, his phone beeped. Knowing it was a message from his brother due to the tune, he looked down at his phone.
" He did. Bhai followed your advice and they are on good terms now. He asked me to thank you on his behalf. " He told her as he looked up from his phone.
" Thank you for knocking some sense in him. " He said genuinely.
" It's nothing. " She smiled with a small nod.
" There's this gentleman who is standing near reception maybe he's your blind date. " He leaned in little making her instinctively back off a little and fist her hands. He caught her being uncomfortable and leaned back as he spoke slowly in process not wanting to make her more uncomfortable.
" Maybe. " She mumbled turning to look at the said person.
" Paras Arora? " She asked the person who had stopped near their table and giving them confused looks. He gave her a positive nod and flashed her a small smile.
She smiled back and gestured him to sit while he briefly glanced at the man who busies himself in his phone. The man sitting next to her shot up his head and flashed Paras a small smile which he returned back.
Next second, Paras's phone went off making him smile brightly while she snakingly narrowed her eyes as she heard him saying baby before excusing himself and moving little away from them. She somewhat had idea that he might just put full stop for their further meeting and that's what she wanted but a part of her mind thought it might be his sibling or cousin rather than a girlfriend.
" Are you sure about me sitting here? " The man asked making her snap out of her thoughts.
" I'm starting to get that feeling, you know. " He spoke further as she didn't respond him.
" What feeling?" She asked confusedly looking at him now.
" Of being a third wheel! " He exclaimed quoting third wheel in the air.
" Just for few more minutes? Please. " She flashed him her best puppy face and joined her hands together, pleading him.
" Fine. Fine. Fine! " He muttered pulling her joined hands down as people on opposite table were staring them.
" Sorry for that. " Paras who had returned back after finishing his call glanced at their hands which were on the table and pretended as if he didn't see anything and sat down on his place.
" It's okay. " She said smiling and waves her hand in air.
" Actually, I wanted to tell you that -- I'm committed. " He said nervously not sure about her reaction and also wanted to tell her as soon as possible so that she doesn't get any wrong signals from him.
She was so happy that she wanted to jump off her chair do her little dance but she somehow managed to suppress that urge and briefly looked up at celling sending a bribe of making some sweets and offer her Bhagwan jii.
" That's great. " That's all she could say as she bites back her smile while the man who was sitting next to her was looking at her narrowing his eyes.
" Didn't you feel bad about it? I mean some girls just go mad as they are rejected. And this is kinda rejection. " Paras voiced out his thoughts confusingly because instead of getting angry she was trying her best to hide her smile.
" No, I don't feel anything is wrong in that. If one has some issues then rejecting is way better than getting into marriage despite of knowing there is no future ahead and ending up with divorce which never in millions would be on good terms. But as compared to that rejection is." She said and he just smiled amused.
" By the way who's this gentleman? " He asked gesturing towards that man whom him thought to be Kartik. For conformation.
" Oh! He. He's, my boyfriend. " She lied effortlessly making the man choke on air.
" You, okay? " Paras rubbed his back and asked while he slowly nod in positive still coughing. While she kept staring both of them for first few seconds and then quickly passed him a glass of water.
